At age 28, there is no stopping award-winning make-up artist and girl boss Sheri Vegas with her luxe makeup brand MakeUp Weapons, recently accepted into PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies program, certifying the range as cruelty-free and vegan friendly.
Her MakeUp Weapons includes a range of 14 multi-functional and makeup artist quality brushes, diamante-encrusted lash curler, brush cleansing bar and bio glitters have also been given the tick of approval from Four Paws Australia, accepting the brand into the international Fur Free Retailer Program. Earlier this year, Sheri was named Best Independent Business Thinker of the Year 2018 and MakeUp Weapons was awarded Best Independent Beauty Brand 2018 in the Australian Make Up Industry Awards.
Founded with the intention to provide makeup artists and lovers with quality makeup brushes that give back and do not negatively impact the environment, MakeUp Weapons is a 100 per cent hand-crafted makeup brush product range made from quality durable synthetics with a nylon and Taklon blend and are suitable for use with cream, liquid and powder. In additional to being environmentally friendly, MakeUp Weapons also gives back by donating 50 cents of each brush sale to local charities.
In addition to brushes, MakeUp Weapons also offers a variety of vegan and cruelty free tools, such as diamanté-encrusted lash curlers, biodegradable, hypo-allergenic brush cleansing bars, and bio glitter, made primarily from eucalyptus trees, sourced from responsibly managed plantations. With over seven years of experience in the beauty industry, Sheri Vegas had long aspired to develop and create a line of make-up artist quality make-up brushes that give back charitably and don’t negatively impact the environment.
